The easiest way to get to Ras el Maten and its Hima from Beirut is taking the road to Mansourieh then to Qurtada through Monte Verde. The scenery is superb whatever the season.

The link between The northern and southern Maten areas, it is also reachable from the Beirut Damascus Highway via two routes. Bhamdoun, Abadieh, Roues El Balout; and Sawfar, Hammana. The first is a windy route that leads to the river that feeds Beirut before reaching the town.

Whatever the route, the first glimpse of Ras ElMaten is a canopy of pine that leaves you breathless before filling your lungs with fresh air.
